Recently I visited Liverpool – a place that I will always treasure in my heart. There is something unique about this maritime city in the northwest of England, where the River Mersey meets the Irish Sea. Liverpool gave me a new beginning in my life just when I needed it – when I worked in university chaplaincy there – and I always feel that visiting the city is refreshing and that it gives me renewed hope for the future.
